Meet Your Homeschool Coach
Hi, I’m Christine, a former school counselor and homeschool mom.
I spent seven years in public education, first supporting students with special needs and then as a school counselor to middle and high schoolers. I’m a certified school counselor in Maine, and hold a Master’s of Education in School Counseling. One of my favorite parts of my job as a school counselor was working collaboratively with the families of my students, especially those with learning differences.
Now I homeschool my own child, which has taught me what no job title could. Plans look different at the kitchen table than they do on paper. Some days go beautifully, and some don’t. Over the years, I’ve talked with many homeschool moms and found we’re often struggling with the same things: wondering whether we’re doing enough, trying to keep our kids motivated, and not knowing when something needs to change. You’re not the only one asking those questions, and you don’t have to figure out the answers alone.
I bring a counselor’s training and a parent’s day-to-day experience to every family I work with. Whether you’re just getting started, a few months in and unsure it’s working, or thinking about what comes after graduation, I’ll help you see what’s working, fix what isn’t, and build a clear plan for what comes next.
How We’ll Work Together
My goal as your homeschool coach is simple: to be your partner, sounding board, and source of support throughout your homeschooling journey. Whether you're transitioning from traditional school to homeschooling, navigating your child's learning differences, struggling with motivation or daily routines, or preparing your high schooler for life beyond your home, I'm here to help you work through the challenges and find a path that works for your family.
Our work together starts with getting to know your family through a short questionnaire, so we can spend our time focusing on what matters most to you. From there, we'll create a practical plan tailored to your child, your schedule, and your homeschool style—whether that's traditional, Charlotte Mason, unschooling, or somewhere in between. Together, we'll focus on realistic, actionable steps that you can put into practice right away, while continuing to adjust and build on them as your family's needs evolve.
My services are educational and coaching based only. They are NOT clinical counseling, therapy, or special education evaluation or diagnosis.
